"We Were Very Impressed With the Excellent Care and Treatment the I Received."

On November 4th, while visiting my niece in Jax a situation arose where I needed medical care. It was a Sunday night and we were leaving for a cruise the next morning. We went to the new Emergency Care Center on Race Track Road, near my niece's home. We were greeted as soon as we walked in the door by Sally. My husband is an ER nurse and I am a Lab Tech, we have both worked in health care for over 20 years each. We were very impressed with the excellent care and treatment the I received. Dr. Boring was understanding and caring, all of the staff was very professional and caring. Cristel, Heather, Crystal, Dr. Swanson, Dr Oliver, and the registration persons whose names I can't remember were all wonderful. I returned on Nov. 5th before we left for the cruise for more antibiotic treatment and we were treated with the same respect, caring and professionalism as the day before. What a wonderful blessing you are to the community and to the health care profession! Thank you for making what had potential to be a very stressful and sad end to our vacation, more enjoyable and successful!

i want you to know how much I value our monthly Bariactric Surgery Group Meetings regularly held on the 1st or 2nd Monday of each month. The information which I receive on a regular basis has been invaluable and I truly hope that this service will continue for a VERY long time in the future. I recently had my Roux En Y bariactric surgery on June 26th and have been attending the meetings on a regular basis. Every time I come away from the meeting with valuable info that has helped me to continue to lose my weight and keep on track. Jennifer Callan, RN, our facilitator, is filled with a wealth of information and always knows and/or understands where people are coming from because she herself has personally had similar experiences since her own surgery over 6 years ago. She continually encourages us to stay on track and stick to our program. Since our last meeting, I have also purchased a bicycle for me to use (right now it is in layaway), and Doug, one of our class participants, shared how he has used cycling as an added form of exercise and relaxation to aide in his own weight loss. PLEASE continue to provide this monthly Bariatric Surgery program, it is most definitely needed and greatly appreciated.

I am a bariatric patient, had the gastric sleeve on 12/28/11, and 77 pounds to date. I attend nearly all of the support group and focus group meetings to ensure that I am successful. They are very helpful and beneficial. Jennifer, Meghan and Jarrod are great! Dr. DePeri and the other doctors are wonderful.

I just wanted to send a note of thanks to the compassionate individuals who took care of my father during a recent inpatient stay. RNs Stacie and Christina treated both my father and my family with the utmost respect and caring attitude. Memorial Hospital is very lucky to have nurses like this on your staff.

Just a brief note to thank all who provided me and my family, with compassionate and considerate care during my recent stay at MHJ. The ER staff, including DR. Papavasiliou, the PA and RN Mike were most sensitive. The inpatient team lead by RNs Stacie, Christina, Terryanne and Nehl (I may have missed 1 or 2 others) were both caring and supportive toward me and my family. RN Stacie went above and beyond. My stay was over my 46th wedding anniversary, I asked her if she could pick up a card from me to my wife. She not only did that, but also brought in a small cake to help the family celebrate. I also appreciated senior management stopping by, very thoughtful.
