Memorial Hospital has been named among U.S. News & World Report’s Best Hospitals in its annual Best Hospitals publication. Memorial Hospital is rated in the Jacksonville, FL metro area.
Memorial Hospital scored in the top 25% of hospitals in four medical specialties:
- Diabetes & Endocrinology
- Kidney Disorders
- Neurology & Neurosurgery
Only about 13% of the nation’s hospitals are included in the exclusive Best Hospitals rankings. The authors take into account patient survival rates, patient safety rates, technology, and patient services offered.
“It’s rewarding to be recognized as a leader in quality care,” said James B. Wood, Memorial Hospital’s President & CEO. “Our staff really deserves the credit as they are providing their patients exceptional care every day.”
This year’s U.S. News & World Report’s Best Hospitals ratings are based mostly on data that is more than two years old. Since then, Memorial Hospital has added a new wing and invested in state-of-the-art equipment.
“While we are thrilled to be where we are in the Best Hospitals rankings, we know we will just keep getting better,” Mr. Wood said.
U.S. News & World Report started its Best Hospitals ranking 21 years ago to help guide patients who need an unusually high level of hospital expertise.
