Dignitaries, employees, and breast cancer survivors opened Memorial Hospital’s New Breast Center with a ribbon cutting ceremony. The new facility offers a complete range of high-tech procedures. Patient care and comfort was considered every step of the way during the design and construction process. The Center has a new lobby, new waiting areas, new patient rooms, and additional testing capabilities.
“Our mothers, daughters, and sisters deserve the best, so we built it” said James B. Wood, President and CEO of Memorial Hospital. “Our new breast center is an important addition to our community.”
The $2.5 million dollar project ensures that women will have access to the best breast care in the region. Memorial Hospital has the only American College of Radiology Breast Imaging Center of Excellence in Jacksonville, and was just named a U.S. News & World Report 2011 Best Hospital.
