Memorial Hospital has been named among U.S. News & World Report’s Best Hospitals in its annual Best Hospitals publication. Memorial Hospital is rated in the Jacksonville, FL metro area.
“These are hospitals we call ‘high performers,” said Avery Comarow, U.S. News Health Rankings Editor. “They are fully capable of giving most patients first-rate care, even if they have serious conditions or need demanding procedures.
Memorial Hospital was ranked high-performing, meaning it scored in the top 25% of hospitals, in eight medical specialties:
- Diabetes & Endocrinology
- Neurology & Neurosurgery
Only about 13% of the nation’s hospitals are included in the exclusive Best Hospitals rankings. The authors take into account patient survival rates, patient safety rates, technology, and patient services offered.
“It’s rewarding to be recognized as a leader in quality care,” said James B. Wood, Memorial Hospital’s President & CEO. “Our staff really deserves the credit as they are providing their patients exceptional care every day.”
